ibE Workshops

Today’s New Classrooms, Today’s New Teachers
Workshop for Teachers
In-person | Online
3 / 4 Sessions
+ Coaching & Follow-up

This workshop, delivered across several sessions, is designed to work with teachers on developing an educational approach centred on learning and the creation of a working methodology that uses inquiry and cooperative learning as fundamental pedagogical tools.

We begin with a general analysis of the main theoretical foundations of language acquisition and second language learning, in order to jointly identify the key elements that should be present at each stage of development to promote meaningful learning and high language competence.

Next, we collaboratively develop a practical five-step methodology, which includes:

1 – Stimulating Curiosity to promote full attention

2 – Extracting Information to assess Prior Knowledge

3 – Building, through teacher-student interaction, a Cooperative Theory of the new knowledge to be acquired

4 – Promoting Recognition of new content

5 – Encouraging Creative Production through a variety of activities

Finally, in the various sessions, we work both practically and theoretically with different tools, designing and modelling diverse content for direct application in the classroom. We provide personalised follow-up with each teacher, both inside and outside the classroom.
